Windows Server 2003 Standard has the sound drivers enabled by default, but the Enterprise edition is disabled. To enable the sound drivers in the Enterprise edition, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Services applet in Administrative Tools
2. Find the 'Windows Audio' service and right click on it then
select 'Properties'
3. Select 'Automatic' in the 'Startup Type' box
4. Click 'Apply' then 'Start' then OK
5. Reboot your computer to enable the sound
